Every September, the East Village has these little block fairs on Saturdays and they are chock full of vintage treasures! It’s like a mini block long flea market right in the middle of Manhattan. It was an absolutely gorgeous weather day with a cool breeze, lots of warm sunshine and merchandise that was ripe for the picking! I got some good deals, met some great people and had a fantastic time!
$5.00 brooches? Don’t mind if I do 😉
Poor little minks 😦
I loved this tapestry handbag! I’m a sucker for anything with a 19th century courtship scene on it!
Great vintage hats! That red one was killer!
These bags were so adorable! Loved the little pinup gal in the cherry martini glass!
Handmade natural stone pendants
These are both hand embroidered pillow cases. They were SO gorgeous! They certainly don’t make things like this anymore!
Fabulous atomic and flower power glassware!
I loved this framed triptych print, but 75 clams was a little steep 😦
Awesome live jazz!
Mildly obsessed with this headpiece/handbag combo!
This original Edison phonograph would have gone straight home with me…if I had $875 dollars! lol
This little powder puff gal and the poodle shoe horn were so fab!
Hand painted antique portrait? WANT!
I almost died when I spied these original pinup postcards from the 1940’s! How divine are these?!
Antique medical chart
Vintage sunglasses display box from the 1960’s! Too cool!
This was my outfit for the day! I paired a vintage 1970’s blouse with thrifted Gap jeans, a vintage Belmar hat and vintage pearl jewelry. I carried my favorite leather Cole Haan handbag to haul all of my little purchases back to my apartment!
Until next time, Dolls!
