Wedding season is upon us, gals and its time to do it up right! I’ve read so many articles lately about what to wear to this kind of wedding or that kind of wedding. While that’s all well and good, and there are certainly some guidelines that should be upheld when selecting proper wedding attire, I had yet to see any vintage style dresses assembled for the nuptial occasion! So, I did a little digging and hand selected some great pics for all of you ladies out there with a mailbox full of wedding invitations and nothing to wear! All of these dresses are under $100.00 and unlike that Pepto-Bismol pink bridesmaids dress you have shoved in the back of your closet, these frocks can be worn again and again.
Wonderful for an evening black tie affair, this little number made me think of Marilyn Monroe in “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”! It also comes with a matching shawl (an elegant line of defense against overpowering air-conditioning!)

For those of you dolls who like to cover your arms or for a more conservative ceremony, this amazing dress incorporates classic 1940’s floral print with a classic 1970’s shape. Either way, the combination is retro lovely!
$56.99 @ Ruche
This dress reminds me of a 1950’s prom dress revamped for the modern gal. Soft layers of tulle make this a delicate, feminine choice. Nothing says vintage party quite like an icy pink fit n’ flare frock!
$99.90 @ Zara
Nothing says vintage quite like lace & delicate embroidery! The color on this is truly stunning, like a ripe cantaloupe! The shape is very flattering as well! This dress would be well suited for any semi formal wedding, day or night (also available in black!)
$46.40 @ ASOS
Is it white? Yes? Is it inappropriate? Not in the least! It is possible to wear white and not outshine the bride! How? By selecting a shade that is closer to champagne or ecru (i.e. Off-white), choosing a matte fabric and adding a vibrant floral print. This is a great little dress for a beach wedding or an informal country/outdoor wedding. Dress it up with some vintage costume jewelry and a pair of crochet lace gloves and you will be set!
